Salt Lake City has no shortage of exciting things to do this November. From cultural festivals and art walks to Broadway musicals and holiday traditions, the month is packed with opportunities to get out, explore, and enjoy the season. Whether you’re a resident of downtown SLC or just visiting, these are some of the highlights you won’t want to miss. 

November 1: Día de los Muertos Festival 2025 

Celebrate Día de los Muertos (Day of the Dead) at the Utah Cultural Celebration Center. Enjoy traditional Mexican dance and musical performances, authentic food and drinks, and family-friendly activities that honor this vibrant holiday. The event also includes art exhibits, prize giveaways, and community fun from 12 PM to 6 PM. 

November 1–2: Fall Orchid Show 

The Utah Orchid Society presents its annual Fall Orchid Show, featuring one of the largest orchid displays in the state. Browse both common and exotic orchids, learn expert care tips, and even shop for plants and pottery. Open November 1 from 9 AM–5 PM and November 2 from 9 AM–4 PM. 

November 1: Last Chance for Cross E Ranch Fall Festival 

It’s your final opportunity to experience the Cross E Ranch Fall Festival this season. With more than 30 attractions—including the corn maze, pumpkin patch, adventure farm, and pig races—it’s the perfect way to wrap up your fall festivities. 

All Month: Mysteries of the Ice Ages at NHMU 

Running through January 2026, the Natural History Museum of Utah hosts Mysteries of the Ice Ages. Explore 80,000 years of Earth’s frozen history with over 120 specimens and artifacts. Highlights include exhibits on mammoths, wolves, and Neanderthal life. Free with museum admission. 

November 1–15: The Musical Comedy Murders of 1940 

Catch this hilarious Broadway-style play filled with eccentric characters, mistaken identities, and a mysterious whodunit twist. The Musical Comedy Murders of 1940 is playing at select theaters through November 15. 

Multiple Dates: Utah Mammoth Games @ Delta Center 

Catch the excitement of Utah’s newest professional sports team, the Mammoths, with home games scheduled throughout the month at the Delta Center. 

November 2: Utah Royals vs. Washington Spirit 

Cheer on the Utah Royals as they take on the Washington Spirit at America First Field. A great chance to support local professional women’s soccer and enjoy a Sunday evening match. 

November 2: Bohemian Bum Farmer’s Market 

Held on the first Sunday of the month at The Gateway, the Bohemian Bum Farmer’s Market features local produce, artisan goods, handcrafted treats, and a strong community vibe. Open 10 AM–3 PM. 

November 4: Brush & Crush Paint Night 

Enjoy a creative night out at Brush & Crush Paint Night with painting, drinks, and community connections. Hosted at a local venue with all supplies provided (21+ only). 

November 5: The Salt Lick 

Join The Salt Lick, a weekly queer country dance night at MILK+, with beginner-friendly two-step and line dance lessons. 

November 7: First Friday Concerts 

Celebrate the first Friday of the month with live music, family-friendly activities, and a vibrant community atmosphere in partnership with the City of West Jordan. 

November 7–15: Ballet West Presents A Midsummer Night’s Dream 

Experience Shakespeare’s classic tale brought to life through Mendelssohn’s enchanting score and Ballet West’s dazzling choreography. This production of A Midsummer Night’s Dream also features Stravinsky’s Les Noces, blending artistry, history, and powerful performances. 

November 8: Candlelight Concert – Rings and Dragons 

Experience music inspired by epic fantasy worlds under candlelight at Candlelight: Rings and Dragons, located at the Clubhouse on South Temple. 

November 8: Hogle Zoo Paint Night – Shimmering Mountains (18+) 

Paint mountain lions at the Hogle Zoo Paint Night through a stained-glass lens while meeting animal ambassadors. All supplies included. 

November 14: Sugar House Art Walk 

Take a Friday night stroll through the Sugar House Art Walk and enjoy rotating art displays, live performances, and local food stops. 

November 14–15: The Wizard of Oz in Concert 

Follow the yellow brick road with the Utah Symphony’s live performance of The Wizard of Oz accompanying the film at Abravanel Hall. 

November 14–23: Legally Blonde – The Musical 

Elle Woods takes the stage in Legally Blonde The Musical, an upbeat and empowering Broadway hit. Follow her journey from sorority life to Harvard Law School in a fun, high-energy story filled with friendship, determination, and catchy songs. 

Multiple Dates: Utah Jazz Games 

Cheer on the Utah Jazz at home games throughout the month at the Delta Center. 

November 15: SoJo Turkey Run 

Kick off Thanksgiving season with South Jordan’s Turkey Run. Choose from 5K, 10K, Ruck, and kids’ races at East Riverfront Park starting at 10 AM. 

November 17–February 14: Disney’s Frozen – The Broadway Musical 

The magic of Disney hits the stage at Hale Centre Theatre with Frozen, featuring all your favorite songs like “Let It Go” and “Do You Want to Build a Snowman?” 

November 20: Caputo’s Chocolate Fest 2025 

Chocolate lovers, rejoice! Caputo’s hosts its annual Chocolate Fest, raising funds for the Heirloom Cacao Preservation Fund. Sample some of the world’s finest chocolate while supporting global preservation efforts. 

November 21: Salt Lake Gallery Stroll 

Join the Salt Lake Gallery Stroll on the third Friday of the month, with downtown galleries opening their doors for free exhibits, meet-the-artist sessions, and art-focused community gatherings. 

November 21–22: Crazy Daisy Holiday Show 

Jumpstart your holiday shopping with over 200 small businesses at the Crazy Daisy Holiday Show. With local entertainment, food vendors, Santa visits, and big giveaways, it’s one of the season’s most festive markets. 

Multiple Dates: Utah Grizzlies Games 

Catch Salt Lake’s hockey team, the Grizzlies, as they compete at Maverik Center throughout the month. 

November 23: Swan Lake by International Ballet Stars 

Enjoy Tchaikovsky’s timeless masterpiece Swan Lake, performed by an international cast of ballet dancers at the Capitol Theatre. This full-scale production features over 200 custom scenery pieces and promises an evening of elegance and artistry. 

November 27: Thanksgiving Buffets 

Skip the cooking this year and indulge at one of Salt Lake City’s premier hotel Thanksgiving buffets. 

November 28–December 27: A Christmas Carol at Hale Centre Theatre 

Ring in the holiday season with Hale Centre Theatre’s beloved annual production of A Christmas Carol. This lavish, heartwarming performance has been a Utah favorite for more than 40 years. 

November 28–December 20: Elf The Musical 

The Draper Historic Theatre brings Buddy the Elf’s story to life in a fun, family-friendly holiday performance. 

November 28–December 20: Frightmare Before Christmas – A Tale Untold 

The Frightmare Before Christmas parody musical mixes Halloween and Christmas themes for a spooky-fun family adventure. 

November 29–30: Messiah Sing-In 2025 

A Salt Lake tradition returns with the Messiah Sing-In, where audience members join guest soloists to perform Handel’s iconic score. Raise your voice in the unforgettable “Hallelujah” chorus and celebrate the start of the holiday season together.
