March 15–May 15: KaBLOOM! Bulbs and Blooms at Red Butte Garden
Spring in Salt Lake City isn’t complete without a visit to Red Butte Garden’s KaBLOOM! Bulbs and Blooms 2025. With over 590,000 blooming bulbs—including 250,000 daffodils—this dazzling display is a feast for the eyes. Peak daffodil bloom typically hits mid-April (weather permitting), so plan multiple visits to catch the evolving beauty. Pack a picnic, bring the kids, or hike the trails in the Natural Area—just don’t expect tulips (the deer and squirrels have claimed those!). April is your last chance to dive into Orcas: Our Shared Future at NHMU. March 28–May 26: ZooLuminate: Where the Wild Things Glow at Hogle Zoo
Looking for a magical after-hours adventure? ZooLuminate at Hogle Zoo features 80 larger-than-life light sculptures illuminating four captivating areas: a glowing savanna, a neon jungle, an alpine forest, and a vibrant garden. Running select nights from 6:30–10 PM, this event glows brighter as the night deepens. Grab dinner at The Beastro, visit some animals (weather permitting), and explore under the stars. Note: It’s a separate ticket from daytime admission, and it happens rain or shine—so bundle up and glow with the flow!
April 5–6: 2025 Spring Orchid Show at Red Butte Garden
Calling all plant lovers! The Utah Orchid Society’s 2025 Spring Orchid Show brings a stunning array of orchids—both common and exotic—to Red Butte Garden. Chat with experts for care tips, troubleshoot your own plants, and browse plants and pottery for sale. It’s open Saturday, April 5 (9 AM–7:30 PM) and Sunday, April 6 (9 AM–3 PM). Whether you’re an orchid newbie or a seasoned grower, this is a blooming good time.
April 5: Disney in Concert at Maurice Abravanel Hall
Get ready for a FREE night of Disney magic! On April 5 at 7:30 PM, the Skyward Symphony performs music from Aladdin, Beauty and the Beast, Up, and more at Maurice Abravanel Hall. Kids are encouraged to dress as their favorite characters, and the entire hall—including box seats—is open to the public. Arrive early to claim your spot and let the nostalgia sweep you away to Disneyland!
